The Village of Saint-Antoine, New Brunswick numbers some 1733 inhabitants, of which 84 % are French-speaking. The municipality is located 34 km north of Moncton, which explains why it is a favored location for people seeking a peaceful life while remaining close to the big city.

Saint-Antoine was founded in 1832 and at the time was named Higho or Higho de Cocagne. In 1873, the parish was given the name Saint-Antoine-l'Ermite. The municipality was incorporated as the Village of Saint-Antoine in 1966.

The municipal office will be closed from Monday December 25, 2017 and will re-open on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 8:00 AM. For emergencies, call 525-4020 and follow the instructions.

The garbage pick-up will be on Wednesday December 27 instead of Monday December 25 and on Tuesday January 2 instead of Monday January 1.

The municipality of Saint-Antoine would like to inform the population that the Christmas trees pick-up will be on January 4, 2018. Please make sure to remove the plastic bags and all the Christmas decorations on the trees.
